Madden 16 Player Ratings: Top 5 Running Backs Revealed

Timothy RappJul 22, 2015

In Madden 16 this year, a lot of players are going to be trying out Beast Mode.

No, that isn't a new feature in the game; it's Marshawn Lynch, who was named the top-ranked running back in the game Wednesday by EA Sports. You can see the top-five backs below:

The player most likely to feel snubbed? That has to be LeSean McCoy, who has rushed for over 1,000 yards in four of the past five seasons. McCoy will now be looking to prove he is a top-five back in Buffalo, after the Bills traded linebacker Kiko Alonso to Philadelphia for McCoy this offseason.

Besides, it's hard to pick a player you would take out of this top five.

Lynch continues to be the league's most bruising, consistent back and rushed for 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. Adrian Peterson is a freak of nature. Jamaal Charles has basically carried the Kansas City Chiefs offense on his back for years, and DeMarco Murray (392 carries, 57 receptions, 2,261 yards from scrimmage, 13 touchdowns) and Le'Veon Bell (1,361 rushing yards, 83 receptions for 854 yards, 11 total touchdowns) are each coming off of career years.

In other words, Madden 16 got these rankings right, and it should be quite fun using each of these backs in the game.
