Caleb Williams Says Bears Winning 1-Score Games Helps 'Build Confidence'
The Chicago Bears are off to a strong 6-3 start to the season, but very few of their wins have come easily.
After winning another one-score game against the New York Giants on Sunday, quarterback Caleb Williams said the tight contests help "build confidence."
"It does build confidence," Williams told reporters. "…It doesn't matter what happened throughout the game, we can come through as a team."

The Bears have won games just about every possible way this year. On Sunday, it was a fourth-quarter comeback.
Chicago trailed 20-10 in the final four minutes, but Williams led the Bears on a 91-yard drive capped off with a touchdown pass to Rome Odunze. After forcing a three-and-out on defense, the Bears went 53 yards down the field, and Williams scored using his legs. A stop on defense secured the win.
Sunday's game marked back-to-back weeks in which the Bears scored in the final minutes to take the lead. Last week, it was a 58-yard touchdown pass from Williams to Colston Loveland that sealed the victory.
Chicago has now had five of its eight games decided by a score or less, and four have been victories.
At 6-3, the Bears are well on their way to reaching the playoffs for the first time since 2020 and can even win the NFC North for the first time since 2018. They'll have to stay diligent, however, with a tough schedule moving forward.
If the Bears make the postseason, a season of one-score games should have them prepared.
