Is TreVeyon Henderson a Sell-High Trade Option in Fantasy Football Amid Breakout Game?

Timothy RappNov 9, 2025

New England Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson had a career game on Sunday, rushing 14 times for 147 yards and two touchdowns while adding one catch for three yards.

Henderson hasn't consistently offered solid fantasy output this season, however, stuck in timeshare in New England's backfield. So, was Sunday a sign of things to come, or an outlier that makes him a great sell-high option in fantasy leagues?

You'll want to lean with the former on this. Henderson was always the most explosive and talented running back on the Patriots, and it was astonishing that the Patriots continued to stick with Rhamondre Stevenson despite his ongoing fumble issues (two lost this season) and mediocre output (3.4 yards per carry).

It was even more concerning that with Stevenson out the past two games, the Patriots gave Terrell Jennings a healthy dose of touches (15 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown) rather than fully turning the backfield over to Henderson.

But Jennings suffered a knee injury during Sunday's game, leaving Henderson as the main man, and he more than made the most of that opportunity. He was also solid last week, with 55 rushing yards and four catches for 32 yards. But he exploded on Sunday, and at some point, the New England coaching staff has to see what the rest of us do—Henderson is the most talented player in this team's backfield, by far, and it's time to make him the main man.

Stevenson should have taken a backseat awhile ago. Even when he returns from injury, it would be impossible to justify giving him a meatier workload than Henderson now.
