Jaguars Reportedly to Play 2027 NFL Home Games in Orlando amid Stadium Renovations
The Jacksonville Jaguars are planning to relocate for the 2027 NFL season to Camping World Stadium in downtown Orlando, Mike Bianchi reported Friday for the Orlando Sentinel.
The move will take place while Jacksonville's EverBank Stadium is undergoing renovations, which are scheduled to be completed in August 2028.
The decision still requires the approval of NFL owners, but Bianchi described the vote as "just a formality."

The University of Florida's Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville could also serve as a "contingency plan" for the Jaguars, although the venue has its own renovation scheduled for April 2027, Bianchi reported.
Camping World Stadium, on the other hand, will have already completed a $400 million renovation set to begin in December.
The renovations will include an expanded upper bowl that will increase the venue's capacity to about 65,000, as well as a new exterior meant to protect the stadium from hurricane damage.
The renovations are part of Orange County's efforts to attract more major sports to the city.
County commissioners voted in April to allow the investment of between $10 million and $11 million in tax sports incentive funds toward bringing the Jaguars to Orlando for the 2027 season, per WESH2's Hayley Crombleholme.
Steve Hogan, CEO of the nonprofit that organizes Camping World Stadium events like the Pop-Tarts Bowl under the name Florida Citrus Sports, said at the time a single Jaguars game would bring in $20 million to the city of Orlando.
City leaders could be hoping to eventually get more than one season of NFL home games out of the Jaguars' decision. Bianchi described the move as Orlando's "audition" to become the full-time host of an NFL team.
Camping World Stadium's ability to serve as the home base for an NFL team in two years could potentially end up playing a role in whether Orlando is considered should Roger Goodell eye expansion or relocation in the future.
The Jaguars will remain in EverBank Stadium for the 2026 season, although the venue will have a reduced capacity, before relocating in 2027. The $1.4 billion renovations are scheduled to be completed ahead of the 2028 season.
