NFL Playoff Picture 2025-26, Standings, Bracket Scenarios After Raiders vs. Broncos

Joe TanseyNov 7, 2025

The Denver Broncos temporarily moved to the top of the AFC standings with their Thursday night win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

The 10-7 victory wasn't pretty, but Bo Nix and Co. found a way to get the job done at home to keep their advantage in the AFC West.

Denver will still have at least a one-game edge in the division standings by the end of Week 10. The Broncos will become Pittsburgh Steelers fans on Sunday so that the Los Angeles Chargers fall back a bit.

The NFC has two massive games in Week 10, one in the NFC West and one between divisional leaders on Monday night.

Division Leaders

  • Denver (8-2)
  • Indianapolis (7-2)
  • New England (7-2)
  • Pittsburgh (5-3)
  • Wild-Card Race

  • Buffalo (6-2)
  • Los Angeles Chargers (6-3)
  • Jacksonville (5-3)
  • Kansas City (5-4)
  • Houston (3-5)
  • Baltimore (3-5)
  • Cincinnati (3-6)
  • Cleveland (2-6)
  • Las Vegas (2-7)
  • Miami (2-7)
  • New York Jets (1-7)
  • Tennessee (1-8)
  • Denver's Thursday night win put it atop the AFC standings for at least a few days.

The Indianapolis Colts are in Germany to face the Atlanta Falcons, while the New England Patriots visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

There's a chance that one or both of the Colts and Patriots lose, which would open up a gap at the top for the Broncos.

Denver has no time to rest, though, since it has a Week 11 clash with the Kansas City Chiefs waiting for it. Kansas City is on a bye in Week 10.

The Broncos already lost to the Los Angeles Chargers, so suffering two defeats to their biggest divisional rivals could cost them later in the season.

Kansas City can't end the weekend in a playoff position, no matter what happens to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Houston due to the Jags' head-to-head win over Kansas City.

The Chargers would love to stay one game adrift of Denver, but they have a tough Sunday night home game with the Steelers, a game that Pittsburgh needs to stay in a good position atop the AFC North.

  • Arizona (3-5)
  • Atlanta (3-5)
  • Washington (3-6)
  • New York Giants (2-7)
  • New Orleans (1-8)
  • Most of the attention in the NFC in Week 10 will be focused on San Francisco and Green Bay.

The Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers do battle in a key NFC West matchup on Sunday afternoon.

It's vital for either team to win on Sunday because the Seattle Seahawks are expected to move to 7-2 with a home win over the Arizona Cardinals.

The Green Bay Packers will try to bounce back from their surprising defeat to the Carolina Panthers with a win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night.

Philadelphia is currently on top of the NFC standings by way of a head-to-head tiebreaker over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Eagles also own wins over the Rams and Minnesota Vikings that could be vital for tiebreakers down the line. A win over Green Bay would add to the collection and confirm the Eagles as the current favorite to reach the Super Bowl out of the NFC.
