Jaxson Dart Says It's Been a 'Blessing' Having Jameis Winston in Giants QB Room
New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart detailed the impact that veteran teammate Jameis Winston has made on his first season in the NFL.
"He's like a coach on the field, in the film room when we spend extra time," Dart told reporters Wednesday. "He's quizzing me constantly. He's teaching me things that he's gone through in his past. Our relationship goes far beyond just the football field in the personal life. Handling things that you do good, things that you need to improve on. It's very unique to have those two guys. For the team, he brings so much energy and optimism and positivity every single day. He's a guy that never wavers regardless of what's going on around him. It's been a blessing to have him in my corner, for sure."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Giants signed Winston to a two-year deal worth $8 million as a free agent in March before selecting Dart with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
Dart entered the regular season as New York's backup behind fellow veteran Russell Wilson, but was eventually promoted to the starter under center after the team opened the year with a record of 0-3.
The first-year passer has looked sharp following the move, completing 62.3 percent of his throws for 1,175 yards and 10 touchdowns compared to three interceptions in six starts. He's also rushed for 251 yards and five scores, leading the Giants to a 2-4 record.
Winston is familiar with Dart's experience as a first-round pick with high expectations, as he was the No. 1 overall choice in the 2015 NFL draft. He has 105 games under his belt, including 87 starts.
