Jaguars' Travis Hunter Reportedly 'Not Expected to Be Out Long-Term' with Knee Injury
While Jacksonville Jaguars star rookie Travis Hunter remains on injured reserve as he recovers from a knee injury, it's not all bad news.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that while Hunter will stay on IR for the next three games, he is "not expected to be out long-term."
Hunter suffered a non-contact right knee injury during practice while playing defense. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that his ACL is intact, but he would have to undergo further testing to determine the extent of his injury and the amount of time he would miss. The wide receiver/cornerback has 28 catches for 298 yards and a touchdown on offense and 15 tackles and three pass breakups on defense.

NFL's Most Exciting Camp Battles ⚔️
Despite being without their dual-role rookie, the Jaguars managed to snap a two-game skid by defeating the Las Vegas Raiders 30-29 in overtime on Sunday to improve to 5-3. Star quarterback Trevor Lawrence ran for the game-winning touchdown, and Jacksonville's defense denied Las Vegas' attempt at a two-point conversion to seal the victory.
While Hunter is sidelined for at least the next three weeks, the Jaguars brought in some reinforcements by acquiring veteran wide receiver Jakobi Meyers from the Raiders ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline. Rapoport reported that Jacksonville sent a fourth-round draft pick and a sixth-round draft pick to Las Vegas to complete the deal.
It appears that things are trending upward for the Jags, so Hunter's eventual return will further boost the team's chances of competing for a playoff spot in the AFC.
