Puka Nacua Will Undergo Scans on Rib Injury, Rams' Sean McVay 'Optimistic' About WR
Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver Puka Nacua is set to undergo scans on the rib injury he suffered during the team's 34-10 win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, via NFL.com.
Rams head coach Sean McVay also told reporters that he's "optimistic" regarding Nacua's situation, per NFL.com.
The receiver suffered the injury in the third quarter of the matchup with New Orleans after getting tackled on a jet sweep.

McVay provided an encouraging update on Nacua in his postgame press conference, though.
"Puka is good," McVay told the media. "I think he's going to be good, Sarah. He got his ribs, he could have come back in the game but we kind of had command. Felt like it was the smart thing. He could've come back in, but we kind of erred on the side of caution."
Nacua hauled in seven receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown prior to exiting the contest.
Los Angeles' offensive outlook is especially promising if the 24-year-old's injury isn't significant, as Sunday already marked his return from an ankle injury that forced him to miss the team's Week 7 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Despite Nacua's recent health issues, he's in the midst of a stellar 2025 campaign with the Rams.
He caught 54 passes for 616 yards and two touchdowns across his first six appearances of the year, averaging 11.4 yards per reception over that span. Nacua is currently recording 101.6 receiving yards per game, the second-highest average in the NFL.
The Rams sit at 6-2 this year and will look to stay in the NFC West race during a divisional matchup with the San Francisco 49ers in Week 10.
