NFL Playoff Picture 2025, Week 10 Standings, Super Bowl Odds, Wild Card Bracket Hunt

Joe TanseyNov 3, 2025

The NFC playoff standings got much tighter after Sunday's results.

The Green Bay Packers' unexpected loss to the Carolina Panthers closed the gap to the rest of the teams in the NFC North.

The Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks are now at the top of a conference that boasts five six-win teams and four five-win teams.

The AFC contains the three teams tied for the best record in the NFL. None of them are the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens.

In fact, only one of the three preseason favorites in the AFC resides in a playoff position after Week 9.

  • Buffalo's home win over Kansas City kept it on top of the AFC wild-card race and just one game back of the New England Patriots in the AFC East.

Kansas City is the also team outside the playoff positions with an above .500 record. The Chiefs won't face much competition from below them in the standings, but getting into the top seven will be difficult if it can't win division games.

The Chiefs have head-to-head losses to the Los Angeles Chargers and Jacksonville Jaguars, the two teams directly ahead of it in the wild-card standings.

Patrick Mahomes and Co. still have to play the Denver Broncos twice, with the first meeting coming out of Kansas City's bye in Week 11.

Kansas City's playoff path is clear because of the head-to-head games left with AFC West rivals.

The same can be said about the Ravens, who still have two matchups with the Pittsburgh Steelers left.

Baltimore has a tricky two-game road swing coming up against the Minnesota Vikings and Cleveland Browns, but if it goes 2-0 in that stretch, it will be in position to pounce on the Steelers.

Pittsburgh held its ground in the AFC North with a surprising home win over the Indianapolis Colts.

The Steelers have another chance to prove their worth in the AFC in Week 10 with a Sunday night road trip to face the Chargers.

  • The NFC North and NFC West titles will be the toughest ones to win this season.

It's no surprise to see three teams from those divisions in the wild-card positions. One result in either division could flip the entire complexion of the wild-card race on a weekly basis.

The leader of each division could change by the week now as well. Green Bay's home defeat to Carolina brought the other three NFC North teams right back into the divisional title race.

Green Bay could drop further in the standings if it can't win at home against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night in Week 10.

The Los Angeles Rams' visit to the San Francisco 49ers is Sunday's biggest game in the NFC. Both teams have aspirations of winning the NFC West, but right now it looks like they are chasing the Seattle Seahawks.

The Carolina Panthers are the team on the outside to keep an eye on. Bryce Young and Co. should reach the six-win mark in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints and they have an easier schedule than the titans of the NFC North and West.
