Panthers Fans to Resume Podcast After Carolina Goes 4-1 During Show's Hiatus

Julia StumbaughNov 2, 2025

The Carolina Panthers may be starting to win fans over after claiming four victories in their last five games.

Podcast hosts Stephen Costner and Jerry Dempster announced Sunday that MeowMix: A Carolina Panthers Podcast would be returning after a month-long hiatus due to the Panthers' poor play.

Costner and Dempster announced on Oct. 1 they would be halting their podcast, which launched in 2019, because of how "difficult" the last three Panthers seasons had been for fans.

The Panthers have since gone 4-1 in a month capped off by Sunday's 16-13 Week 9 win over the host Green Bay Packers.

The winning stretch began when the Panthers claimed a 27-24 Week 5 win over the visiting Miami Dolphins.

Carolina followed that up with a 30-27 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6 and a 13-6 victory at the New York Jets in Week 7.

The Panthers' one loss during the stretch came while Young was sidelined by an ankle injury, leaving Andy Dalton to start in Week 8.

Young returned for Week 9. He and Rico Dowdle helped lead a final drive against the Packers that set up rookie kicker Ryan Fitzgerald for a game-winning field goal.

The Panthers will hope to continue leaning on their run game going forward now that Dowdle has seemingly taken over lead running back duties from Chuba Hubbard.

Carolina (5-4) will be back in action next Sunday when the team returns home for a Week 10 matchup with the New Orleans Saints.
