Los Angeles emerged victorious due to Will Smith's solo home run in the top of the 11th inning.

Fans and players were amazed by the thrilling finish.

The Dodgers trailed 4-3 heading into the ninth inning of the contest, but stayed alive with a game-tying homer from Miguel Rojas.

NBA superstars LeBron James and Joel Embiid were shocked by Rojas' clutch home run.

Ohtani started the game for the Dodgers, giving up five hits and three runs in 2.1 innings of work despite recording three strikeouts. He fared much better at the plate, finishing 2-for-5 with a walk.

The Blue Jays struck first in Saturday's contest, as Bo Bichette hit a three-run home run off Ohtani in the bottom of the third inning.

Los Angeles loaded the bases with one out in the top of the fourth before Teoscar Hernández hit the ball to shallow center. Daulton Varsho made an incredible diving catch to rob Hernández of a base hit and limit the damage to one run, though.

Tensions briefly flared in the bottom of the same inning after Dodgers reliever Justin Wrobleski hit Blue Jays infielder Andrés Giménez with a pitch, leading to the benches clearing.

Another sacrifice fly from Tommy Edman in the sixth inning helped the Dodgers pull to within one run, but Toronto gained a two-run lead once again with an RBI double from Giménez in the same frame.

Max Muncy helped Los Angeles stay within striking distance by hitting a towering solo home run in the top of the eighth.

After Rojas tied the game, Blake Snell and Yoshinobu Yamamoto combined to pitch three scoreless innings for Los Angeles out of the bullpen. Toronto loaded the bases with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, but Andy Pages caught a fly ball on the warning track while colliding with Kiké Hernández in the outfield.

The Dodgers are the first team to repeat as a World Series champion since the New York Yankees in 2000.
