Titans' Calvin Ridley, Arden Key Reportedly Seen as Trade Candidates Ahead of Deadline

Julia StumbaughOct 30, 2025

The Tennessee Titans could be putting a few key players on the trade block after a 1-7 start to the 2025 season.

Wide receiver Calvin Ridley and defensive end Arden Key are seen as trade candidates ahead of the Nov. 4 deadline, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Thursday.

Rapoport's news comes after both Ridley and Key have struggled with injuries early in the 2025 season.

Ridley saw his production drop while averaging career lows in both catches per game (2.7) and receiving yards per game (48.3) through Week 6.

The wide receiver has since been sidelined for two straight games with a hamstring injury. He has not yet rejoined practice ahead of Week 9.

Key, who has been sidelined with a quadriceps injury since Week 5, also has yet to practice this week.

He had also seen his production decline since 2024 by recording 1.5 sacks, nine pressures and four quarterback hits through his first five games.

Key is playing on an expiring deal with a cap hit of just under $9.3 million for the 2025 season, per Spotrac. The Titans could consider moving him if the team believes there's risk of losing him in free agency.

ESPN's Seth Walder recently named the Carolina Panthers as a team in need of edge rushing help that could serve as a potential suitor for Key.

Moving Ridley would involve parting ways with a longer-term contract. The wide receiver, who will turn 31 in December, has two and a half season remaining on the four-year, $92 million deal he signed with the Titans in 2024.

The Pittsburgh Steelers, who are reportedly eyeing a wide receiver to join DK Metcalf at the deadline, could be a candidate to bid on Ridley should the Titans decide to shop him.

Any decisions from Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi will need to be made before the trade window closes next Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET.
