'Call of Duty' Movie Reportedly to Be Developed by Taylor Sheridan, Peter Berg

Taylor Sheridan and Peter Berg are reportedly developing and producing a Call of Duty live-action film for Paramount, according to Justin Kroll of Deadline.

Video game franchises crossing over to film and television is nothing new, with the popular Call of Duty franchise now joining the likes of The Super Mario Bros., Pokemon, Borderlands, World of Warcraft, Assassin's Creed, Minecraft, Uncharted and many other gaming franchises that received movies.

Other franchises went the route of television series, including Fallout, The Last of Us and Halo.

Sheridan is most famous as the creator of Yellowstone, among many other projects, while Berg developed and was the executive producer for the Friday Night Lights series and has directed a number of feature films.

The pair previously collaborated on Hell or High Water and Wind River.
