Vlad Jr. Keys Blue Jays' Win vs. Dodgers in World Series Game 4, Hyped By MLB Fans
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. played a crucial role in the Toronto Blue Jays' 6-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 4 of the 2025 World Series on Tuesday night.
Guerrero finished 2-for-4 with a walk, hitting a go-ahead home run off Shohei Ohtani in the top of the third inning.
The two-run blast was his seventh postseason homer, the most in Blue Jays history.
Fans, pundits and former players were all impressed with Guerrero's performance.
The Dodgers struck first in Tuesday's contest, taking a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning following a sacrifice fly by Kiké Hernández.
After Guerrero's two-run shot put Toronto in front during the ensuing frame, both teams went scoreless over the next three innings.
The Blue Jays finally gained some separation in the top of the seventh, which started with an RBI single from Andrés Giménez.
A groundout by Ty France still scored a run before RBI singles from Bo Bichette and Addison Barger gave Toronto a 6-1 edge.
The Dodgers attempted a late rally by putting runners on second and third with no outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, but only scored once before Louis Varland closed out the win for Toronto.
Shane Bieber started for the Blue Jays, allowing just four hits and one earned run in 5.1 innings of work. He recorded three strikeouts to go along with three walks.
Toronto's lineup excelled throughout the game, as four different players recorded multiple hits.
With the win, the Blue Jays tied the World Series 2-2 and ensured that the series will head back to the Rogers Centre for Game 6 at minimum.
