Jets' Jarvis Brownlee Reportedly Trolled Titans in Locker Room After Win vs. Bengals

Paul KasabianOct 28, 2025

New York Jets cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr. has made a major impact with Gang Green since the Tennessee Titans traded the second-year pro on Sept. 23, and he notably made a game-sealing pass breakup on Sunday to give his team its first win of the season, a 39-38 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

In the postgame locker room, Brownlee reportedly asked Tom Rock of Newsday and Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic what time it was. When told that it was 4:57 p.m. ET, Brownlee reportedly said: "Oh great, I still have time to go watch the Titans lose."

Rosenblatt recalled the story during a conversation with SNY's Connor Hughes on the latest edition of Jets Final Drive.

The Jets acquired Brownlee and a 2026 seventh-round draft pick from the Titans for a 2026 sixth-round draft choice last September. It was a puzzling move at the time to see Tennessee trade a young starting cornerback with nearly three years left on his contract to the Jets for a pick swap.

New York has certainly benefitted from the deal. Brownlee has made 19 tackles (13 solo) in four games alongside two pass breakups and a forced fumble.

In particular, the game-clinching pass breakup was a massive play, as the Bengals could have gotten a first down past midfield at the Jets 46-yard line.

If Cincinnati got a first down there, the Bengals realistically didn't need much more yardage to get to the outer edge of field goal range for kicker Evan McPherson, whose all-time long in the pros is 58 yards (he also kicked a 67-yarder earlier this year against the Green Bay Packers which was foiled by a timeout).

After the game, Brownlee expressed his gratitude for becoming a Jet.

It's unclear whether Brownlee did in fact check out the Titans, but if he did, he saw his old team fall 38-14 at the Indianapolis Colts to drop to 1-7 on the year.
