Jerry Jones Denies Cowboys Were 'Close' on Crosby, Hendrickson Trades, Talks Deadline
The Dallas Cowboys were rumored to be pursuing trades for star edge rushers Maxx Crosby and Trey Hendrickson, but team owner Jerry Jones set the record straight.
During a radio appearance, Jones denied that the Cowboys were on the verge of acquiring Crosby or Hendrickson from the Las Vegas Raiders or Cincinnati Bengals, respectively.
"There hasn't been anything close to a deal," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan, per The Athletic's Jon Machota. "We're looking at all phases of our roster. … I don't know if we will or not (make a trade)."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Cowboys fell to 3-4-1 with Sunday's 44-24 loss to the Denver Broncos. With the Nov. 4 trade deadline quickly approaching, Dallas is running out of time to improve its roster.
Jones noted that "all options are there" ahead of the deadline, but he added, "I can tell you this right now, there is not a trade in my mind, the beginning and end of one, as we sit here and talk … that I would do."
The Cowboys rank 31st in the NFL with 404.6 yards allowed and 31.3 points allowed per game. Dallas' defensive woes are wasting another strong season by star quarterback Dak Prescott, who has thrown for 2,069 yards, 16 touchdowns and five interceptions this year. He's spearheaded an offense that ranks second in the league with 384.1 yards per game.
It was just a couple of months ago that Jones made one of the biggest blockbuster trades in recent memory when he sent star edge rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. The Cowboys have missed his presence, so Jones will have to do some wheeling and dealing to fill the void.
Dallas will take on the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football, which could be the last game with the current roster.
