Cowboys' Schottenheimer Promises 'Change' as Blowout Loss to Broncos 'Not Acceptable'
The Dallas Cowboys suffered their largest margin of defeat on Sunday in a blowout loss to the Denver Broncos, and head coach Brian Schottenheimer knows something needs to change.
"There's always reasons to change, and there will be change," he told reporters. "I can promise you that. I can show you that. We've already had meetings, and we've talked about those changes. We're in the mode right now of where we've got kind of a one-game season."
Schottenheimer added that the loss was "not acceptable."

"No one is happy with the way we performed [against the Broncos]," Schottenheimer said. "It's not acceptable. It's not good enough. I would say both the staff and the players are aware that the standard was not met, so now what do you do? Be solution-oriented."
This isn't the first time this season that Schottenheimer has promised changes. After the Cowboys fell to the Chicago Bears in September, he vowed to figure things out.
"Some might be scheme," he said. "Some might be personnel."
Dallas fell to 3-4-1 with the loss, and most of its struggles have been on the defensive side. The Cowboys have given up the second-most yards per game (404.6) and the second-most points per game (31.3).
