Rams Trade for Roger McCreary, Titans Agree to 2026 NFL Draft Pick Swap

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
McCreary, a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft, has 33 tackles, one interception and two pass breakups through eight games. He logged 35 starts prior to this season as well.
Adding a corner with some experience at a minimal cost is a good piece of business for Los Angeles.
McCreary should strengthen what's already a solid pass defense. The Rams are tied for fifth in yards per attempt (6.4) and sixth in opponent quarterback rating (84.6).
From the other side of the swap, the Titans are destined to see their playoff drought stretch to four years, and they already fired head coach Brian Callahan. Amid a lost season, trading away an impending free agent, one who's not a key cog in the team, makes sense in general.
Fans may at least wonder whether Tennessee got the most value it could for McCreary. Even for a franchise in a rebuild, a late-round pick doesn't move the needle much.
