Utah Mammoth on Amazing Undefeated Streak Since Revealing Mascot 'Tusky'
Tusky has been the Utah Mammoth's good luck charm early into the 2025-26 NHL season.
The Mammoth unveiled their new mascot on the night of their home opener. Thanks to what one can only assume is Tusky's shrewd leadership behind the scenes, Utah has won seven straight games since he entered the picture.

Most recently, Dylan Guenther's goal propelled the Mammoth to a 3-2 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday.
Occasionally, sports franchises will lean into the absurd when developing a new mascot. The Philadelphia Flyers' Gritty is one of the more obvious examples, and he was beloved almost from the moment of his introduction in 2018.
Tusky's origin story, on the other hand, is pretty straightforward. The Mammoth nickname lent itself to a clear choice for the mascot design, and the name is derived from the franchise's "Tusks Up" motivational call.
"Tusky is going to be a big part of our community, creating memorable experiences in and out of the arena," team owners Ryan and Ashley Smith said. "Fans can expect to see Tusky everywhere — from Mammoth games and team events to community gatherings, schools and hospitals."
Tusky is already making his presence felt in Salt Lake City.
