Carol Davis, the widow of late Las Vegas Raiders owner Al Davis and mother of current Raiders owner Mark Davis, died at the age of 93 on Friday.

"Carol provided unbridled support and unparalleled guidance to the Davis family and the Raiders organization for over 60 years," the team said in a statement on Sunday. "Her direct impact on the Greatness of the Raiders continues to be felt, cherished, and honored, and is woven into the fabric of this historic franchise. If Al was the heart of the Raiders, Carol was the soul."

Mark also lit the Al Davis Memorial Torch at Allegiant Stadium in honor of his mother on Sunday.

Carol and Al got married in 1954, with both becoming involved in the Raiders organization when Al was hired as their head coach in 1963. He eventually became the team's owner, winning three championships during the 1976, 1980 and 1983 seasons.

Carol helped lead the Raiders alongside Mark after Al died in 2011.

She lit the Al Davis Memorial Torch during the inaugural Raiders game played at Allegiant Stadium in Sept. 2020 and presented legendary former Raiders coach Tom Flores for his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2021.

The team announced that a private service will be held for Carol in Oakland, California.
