Saquon Barkley Says Eagles 'Definitely Saw' How Giants Celebrated Week 6 Win

Timothy RappOct 26, 2025

The New York Giants enjoyed their 34-17 upset win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6. The Birds took notice.

"It's always great to win. It's always great to beat a division rival. For sure we definitely saw how they celebrated when they beat us last time," running back Saquon Barkley told reporters after Philly's 38-20 revenge victory on Sunday. "But I think one of my favorite things Coach Sirianni says is, 'The revenge mindset, that lasts for five minutes, and then it goes back to your habits.' We know if we focus on our habits, are detailed, play to our standard, we'll be happy with the outcome."

It was easily Barkley's best game of the season and a throwback to his epic 2024 campaign, as he rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown and added four catches for 24 yards and another score.

The one concerning moment from the game for the Eagles, however, came when Barkley exited in the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury and didn't return, though he downplayed the severity of that injury after the game:

The 6-2 Eagles now head into their bye, giving players like Barkley and injured wideout A.J. Brown an extra week to get healthy. They'll face the Green Bay Packers on the other side of the bye, clash between two of the better teams in the NFC thus far this season.
