Caleb Williams Criticized by NFL Fans After Bears Lose to Ravens without Lamar Jackson

Doric SamOct 26, 2025

After showing signs of improvement earlier this season, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has come crashing back down to earth in Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Williams struggled to put it together in a 30-16 loss to a Ravens team that was playing without star quarterback Lamar Jackson for the third straight game as he continued his recovery from a hamstring injury. The loss snapped a four-game win streak for the Bears.

The 2024 No. 1 pick threw for 285 yards, no touchdowns and an interception on 25-of-38 passing in the loss, his second straight game without a passing touchdown.

Despite some early success on offense, Williams was unable to find the end zone as the Bears had to settle for field goals on back-to-back possessions to start the game. Ravens star running back Derrick Henry scored the first of his two touchdowns in the second quarter, and Baltimore never looked back.

Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley had an efficient outing with 186 yards and a touchdown on 17-of-22 passing. Baltimore snapped a four-game losing streak and is reportedly expecting to get Jackson back for its Thursday Night Football matchup against the Miami Dolphins.

Fans couldn't help but call out Williams' poor performance during Sunday's game as the Bears' momentum came to an end:

Williams has struggled to live up to expectations, but he's shown instances of promise under the direction of first-year head coach Ben Johnson. However, Sunday's game was a bit of a regression.

Williams and the Bears will try to bounce back when they meet the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9.
