Giants' Tyrone Tracy Jr., Devin Singletary Fantasy Outlook After Cam Skattebo's Injury

Doric SamOct 26, 2025

New York Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo suffered a devastating ankle injury in the first half of Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

With Skattebo likely to miss significant time, Giants running backs Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary will be relied upon heavily to lead the offense, which should give them more opportunities for big fantasy football performances.

Tracy entered Sunday's game ranked third on the Giants with 35 carries for 120 yards and a touchdown. He's also added eight catches for 54 yards on 13 targets. Singletary has carried the ball 26 times for 84 yards, and he hasn't reached the end zone.

Perย FantasyPros, Tracy is owned in 47 percent of Yahoo fantasy leagues and 42 percent of ESPN leagues, so he should be one of the most popular waiver wire pickups this week. Singletary is rostered in justย one percentย of leagues, and while his early usage suggests that he'll be taking a backseat to Tracy, he could be worth an add for fantasy managers who are desperate for running back improvements.

Tracy rushed for 839 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie in 2024 after taking over the lead back role from Singletary, who produced 437 yards and four scores in his first season in New York. Prior to joining the Giants, Singletary had notched over 800 rushing yards in three straight years between the Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans.

Perhaps Singeltary will be able to recapture some of his old magic with more opportunities, but Tracy seems like the safer bet to see the lion's share of the backfield workload for the Giants going forward.
