Fox Sports' Jay Glazer first reported Jackson was expecting to return in Week 9.

"As far as Lamar, they were hoping coming off the bye he would be healthy enough," Glazer reported Sunday (0:28 mark). "But he just wasn't there, wanted him to be fully confident because they played two games in four days. So while they're gonna hold him out today, they do expect him to go Thursday."

Jackson was ruled out of Baltimore's Week 8 clash with the Chicago Bears due to the hamstring injury, marking his third straight missed game. Tyler Huntley was able to lead the Ravens to an important 30-16 win against the Bears with Jackson out.

Jackson appeared to be making progress in his recovery despite the absence against Chicago, as he returned to practice for the first time since suffering the injury throughout the week leading up to the battle with the Bears.

The Ravens could use Jackson's presence under center once again, as they currently sit at 2-5 and are in serious danger of missing the playoffs for the first time since 2021.

Despite Baltimore's overall struggles, Jackson remained effective both through the air and on the ground prior to the hamstring issues in 2025.

He completed 71.6 percent of his passes for 869 yards and 10 touchdowns compared to a mere one interception across his first four starts of the year. He also rushed for 166 yards and a score.
