Maxx Crosby Trade Reportedly Eyed by Multiple NFL Teams, Raiders Gave 'Resounding No'

Mike ChiariOct 25, 2025

The Las Vegas Raiders have reportedly informed multiple teams that they have no interest in trading Pro Bowl pass-rusher Maxx Crosby.

According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, the Raiders have responded with "a resounding no" to teams that have called to ask about Crosby's availability.

Key members of the Raiders organization reportedly even met with Crosby this past week in order to assure him that they have no intention of trading him.

Raiders owner Mark Davis even commented publicly on the trade rumors and speculation surrounding Crosby, telling reporters:

"I don't know how many times I've got to say it. It's really hard to keep getting asked the same question every month or week or whatever when the answer's going to stay the same. I don't know why anybody would think I'd change my mind or the organization would."

A potential Crosby trade became a hot topic of conversation this week when former ESPN anchor and current host of the Straight Facts Homie! podcast Trey Wingo reported that the Dallas Cowboys "have made inquiries" about a trade for Crosby.

However, Rapoport and Garafolo reported that it "doesn't seem" the Cowboys are among the teams that have called the Raiders to ask about Crosby.

Crosby, 28, has consistently been among the NFL's best pass-rushers since entering the league as a fourth-round pick out of Eastern Michigan in 2019.

He entered this season having been named to four straight Pro Bowls, and in 102 career NFL regular-season games to this point, Crosby has 63.5 career sacks.

Through seven games this season, Crosby has recorded four sacks, 28 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, one forced fumble and one interception.

In March, Crosby signed a three-year, $106.5 million contract extension with the Raiders, keeping him under contract with the franchise through 2029.

The Raiders have struggled so far this season with a 2-5 record, and they are coming off a 31-0 blowout loss at the hands of the AFC West rival Kansas City Chiefs, which may have been the impetus behind teams seeing if they would be willing to sell off pieces like Crosby.

Although it would take a big turnaround for the Raiders to right the ship this season and get back in the playoff mix, trading Crosby is a move that would perhaps signal a lack of belief in being able to contend for multiple seasons.

Based on the report by Rapoport and Garafolo, along with Davis' statement, the Raiders seemingly aren't ready to make that type of declaration.
