
Justin Herbert's MVP Candidacy Discussed By NFL Fans as Chargers Beat Wentz, Vikings
Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers cruised to a dominant 37–10 home victory over Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
Herbert threw for 227 yards, three touchdowns and one interception, completing 18-of-25 passes while connecting with three different players for scores. He also added 62 rushing yards on seven carries.
Ladd McConkey hauled in a touchdown and totaled 88 receiving yards, while Ronde Gadsden II and Tre Harris each caught a touchdown pass. Running back Kimani Vidal contributed a rushing touchdown and 117 yards on the ground.

Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz finished with 144 yards, one touchdown and one interception, while Jefferson recorded 74 yards on seven receptions.
With the home win, the Chargers improved to 5–3 on the season and are now chasing the Denver Broncos for second place in the AFC West. Meanwhile, the Vikings fell to 3–4 on the year.
Herbert's standout performance sparked MVP conversations among fans as he led the Chargers to a commanding home victory on Sunday night prime time.
The Chargers got off to a fast start, scoring on their opening possession in the first quarter while forcing the Vikings to punt on their first two drives.
Los Angeles opened the second quarter with another touchdown, missed a field goal, then scored again before halftime, holding Minnesota to just a field goal and taking a 21–3 lead into the break.
Herbert was red-hot, completing 14-of-18 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns.
Cameron Dicker bounced back from a missed field goal, converting a 43-yard kick just after halftime. Shortly after, Herbert threw his first interception of the game, setting up Minnesota's first touchdown. The Vikings trailed 24–10 heading into the final 15 minutes.
The Chargers added 13 points in the fourth quarter on a touchdown and two field goals, while holding the Vikings scoreless and securing the win with an interception to cruise to victory.
Los Angeles will hit the road next Sunday to face the Tennessee Titans and Minnesota will face the Detroit Lions on the road.
