According to the release, Pharrell "will take the field with Bishop Ezekiel Williams' group Voices of Fire to welcome fans to the biggest stage in baseball with a synthesized setlist featuring 'ARE YOU READY?' and 'THE ONE' from their new album OPHANIM." The 52-year-old "worked closely with MLB and Emmy award-winning production company Jesse Collins Entertainment's Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon and Seth Dudowsky as the executive producers of the show, taking the themes of unity and togetherness in honoring baseball as a global sport."

The Blue Jays are playing in the World Series for the first time since their last title in 1993. The Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees last season and are seeking their third title in the last six years.
