Jake Paul Says He's 'Scared' and Losing Sleep About Tank Davis Fight, Shakur Helping

Doric SamOct 23, 2025

Jake Paul's exhibition fight against WBA lightweight champion Gervonta "Tank" Davis is less than a month away on Nov. 14, and the YouTuber's nerves are at an all-time high.

While speaking to TMZ, Paul admitted that he's been losing sleep over the upcoming matchup.

"Internally, I'm the most scared going into a fight that I've actually ever been," Paul said. "Being vulnerable for a second, this is crazy. This is scary. It's kind of keeping me up at night."

Paul will have a significant size advantage over Davis, as he's seven and a half inches taller than the veteran, who has fought as low as 130 pounds. Their exhibition matchup will be contested at 195 pounds. Still, Davis owns 28 knockouts to his name, so it's understandable that Paul is nervous about his punching power.

To help prepare for his fight against a smaller opponent, Paul said he's enlisted the services of WBC lightweight champion and Davis' longtime rival, Shakur Stevenson, as one of his primary training partners.

Paul said he and Stevenson will spar together, and he's confident that he will "walk Tank into a knockout like I've done with other opponents."

"I'm going to prove a lot of people wrong," Paul declared.
