Oronde Gadsden's Father Jokes About Benching Chargers' Breakout Fantasy Football Star
Oronde Gadsden II became a popular waiver wire pickup this week after a monster outing against the Indianapolis Colts.
Still, his father has no plans of putting him into his fantasy football starting lineup.
"It's the second week in a row I've lost by under 10 points, and in my league they were like, 'What dad leaves his son on the bench?'" the elder Gadsden told the "Hoch, Crowder and Solana" show (h/t ESPN's Sachin Dave Chandan).

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Gadsden's father, who spent six seasons with the Miami Dolphins, joked that he doesn't want to mess with his luck now that his fantasy team is playing well.
"We playing fantasy football now ... he's going to stay on the bench," Gadsden said. "Nobody else got him, we cool with it, I'm cool. He gon' ride the pine!"
Gadsden II had a strong start to the season, but put together his best game of the season last week when he picked up 164 yards and a touchdown in a loss to the Colts. The rookie has 308 yards and a touchdown in five games.
