Eagles Insider Says 'Pay Attention' to Dolphins' Bradley Chubb, Phillips in Trade

The Philadelphia Eagles could get busy ahead of the NFL trade deadline.

The Athletic's Zach Berman noted that the Eagles "will try to upgrade at edge rusher and/or cornerback" and said to "pay attention to Dolphins edge rushers Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips."

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler also noted that Phillips and Chubb have been involved with trade rumors, with Phillips being more valuable than Chubb according to multiple teams.

Although it's also worth pointing out that Dolphins' head coach Mike McDaniel called trade rumors surrounding his players "baseless, currently."

Phillips, a first-round pick in 2021, recorded 15.5 sacks through his first two seasons before injuries derailed the 2023 and 2024 campaigns. He's off to a solid start this year, recording 19 tackles and two sacks in seven games. Phillips is also on an expiring rookie contract.

Chubb, 29, has logged 20 tackles and four sacks through the first seven games, though his contract might be a deterrent in a trade since he still has two years remaining on his three-year, $54.5 million deal.

The Dolphins are nowhere near playoff contention at 1-6, and it wouldn't be surprising to see them sell big at the deadline. The Eagles, armed with 10 projected draft picks in 2026, could be a prime candidate to do business with Miami.
