Steelers' Aaron Rodgers Says He, Broderick Jones Laughed About Viral Tackle Video
A few days removed from the moment, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers managed to chuckle about the friendly fire he got from teammate Broderick Jones in a Week 7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Jones inadvertently took Rodgers down from behind while celebrating Pat Freiermuth's 68-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter. The veteran signal-caller didn't appear to be happy in the immediate aftermath.
"I told him I'm 41, you can't be out there tackling me," Rodgers told reporters Wednesday. "But I love Brod. We had a couple laughs about it."

Jones followed up Monday to say everything was cool between he and his quarterback. He joked he might tackle Rodgers again if the Steelers score another big touchdown in Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers.
Rodgers has a lot wear on the tires after 21 seasons in the NFL. He has logged 254 appearances, and he missed nearly all of 2023 because of a major Achilles injury.
The four-time MVP, who has been sacked nine times this year, will want to avoid whatever unnecessary contact he can. That apparently means always keeping his head on a swivel, even for his own players.
