Jakobi Meyers 'For Sure' Wants to Be Traded by Raiders amid NFL Deadline Rumors
With the trade deadline looming, Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers is still interested in being dealt.
"Oh, for sure," Meyers said when asked if he still wants a trade," per ESPN's Ryan McFadden. "But I'm a professional at the end of the day. I'm just trying to play good football."
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported in August that Meyers had requested a trade from the Raiders after the two sides were unable to reach a deal before the season. Rapoport and Pelissero noted at the time that Las Vegas had "no plans" of moving on from the veteran.

But things reportedly changed within the organization recently. The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported last week that the Raiders are now "open" to trading Meyers ahead of the deadline, and they're seeking defensive linemen and cornerbacks in return.
Meyers has put together a solid season so far, recording 329 receiving yards on 29 receptions through six games.
While he's a vital piece of their offense, the Raiders may be willing to move on from him now that they're chances of reaching the playoffs are getting slim. Las Vegas fell to 2-5 with a blowout loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
The breakout year from Tre Tucker, who has 389 yards and four touchdowns, also means that the Raiders aren't quite as reliant on Meyers this year.
But regardless if he is given the trade he wants, Meyers will have the chance to leave this offseason since he's set to hit free agency.
