Cowboys' Dak Prescott Says CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens Are Best WR Duo He's Had
Dak Prescott was asked after Sunday's 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders if CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens were the most talented receiving duo he's had during his time with the Dallas Cowboys.
"They are, and that's credit to them," he told reporters. "That's credit to the way they show up and work each and every day. That's credit to the standard that they have for themselves. That's credit to the love they have for one another, the way that they push one another. They definitely are. Those dudes are unbelievable."
The dynamic duo was on full display in Week 7.
Lamb returned from a high-ankle sprain that cost him parts of four games on Sunday and did so in style, catching five passes for 110 yards and a touchdown on eight targets. Pickens added four catches for 82 yards on six targets, and the Dallas offense kept humming along.
Prescott has now thrown for 1,881 yards, 16 touchdowns and just three interceptions on the season, completing an impressive 71.4 percent of his passes. It's trending towards being a career year for the veteran quarterback, though the team's porous defense has resulted in a 3-3-1 start to the season.
That unit looked better on Sunday, albeit against a Commanders team missing its top three wideouts. But if the Cowboys can get improved play on the defensive side of the ball, they'll be a real threat given the level the offense has played at to this point.
