Vlad Jr. Says 'I'm Born Ready' in Epic Video After Blue Jays Force Game 7 vs. Mariners

Joseph ZuckerOct 20, 2025

Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had a simple message when asked whether he's prepared for Game 7 of the American League Championship Series against the Seattle Mariners.

"You asked me if I'm ready, I [was] born ready," he said. "I [was] born ready and I want it all for this city."

The remarks were made more iconic thanks to the camerawork on the Sportsnet broadcast. Viewers were treated to a sweeping shot of the Rogers Centre crowd to get a taste of what Guerrero was experiencing as he basked in the moment.

Guerrero went 2-for-4 in Sunday's 6-2 Game 6 victory. He hit a solo homer in the fifth that put Toronto up five runs.

The five-time All-Star has been outstanding throughout the postseason. In 10 games, he's batting .462 and slugging 1.000. Nobody has more home runs (six) or RBI (12).

This is exactly why the Blue Jays shelled out $500 million on Guerrero in April. Beyond the fact he has consistently delivered at the plate since debuting in 2019, he's a homegrown franchise star for an organization that hasn't had a lot of those through the years.

Maybe Toronto winds up losing Game 7 on Monday night and falls short of an AL pennant, but this October run is already something fans will remember for a long time to come. And Guerrero is front and center for it all.
