Tom Brady Correctly Calls Out Commanders Scoring 'Too Fast' Before Cowboys 1st Half TD

Timothy RappOct 19, 2025

The Washington Commanders scored a touchdown with 45 seconds remaining in the first half of Sunday's matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

The score cut the deficit to 20-15, but Fox announcer Tom Brady thought the Commanders should have wasted more clock, given how hot Dak Prescott and the Cowboys' offense has been.

"I love the answer. I love the run," Brady said of Jayden Daniels' short touchdown scamper. "But I worry, did they score too fast?"

His concerns were proven valid, as the Cowboys needed just four plays to drive 72 yards and score on a two-yard touchdown pass from Prescott to tight end Jake Ferguson.

Granted, you'd expect an NFL defense to not give up a touchdown with only 45 seconds remaining in the half. A field goal is one thing, but giving up a touchdown in that scenario is pretty bad.

On an afternoon when the Commanders were thoroughly blown out, however, plenty went bad. At least on Sunday, Washington couldn't afford to give Prescott and the Cowboys' offense 45 seconds at the end of the half.
