ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Saturday night that Murray is expected to return after Arizona's bye week:
Murray suffered the injury in the Cardinals' 22-21 loss to the Tennessee Titans, and he was sidelined for last week's game against the Indianapolis Colts. After the injury, Rapoport noted that Murray could be sidelined for multiple weeks.
Brisset played well in Murray's absence, throwing for 320 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, but Arizona lost, 31-27.
Murray has struggled a bit to start the season, throwing for 962 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions while adding 173 yards and a score on the ground. He had his best season since 2020 a year ago, but hasn't returned to that form this year.
He's hoping to hit the reset button once he returns from injury, but for now, he'll just focus on getting on the field.
After a strong performance in his first start of the season last week, the Cardinals are hoping Brissett can lead them to their first win since Week 2 on Sunday. Brissett hasn't been a full-time starter since 2022, but played eight games with the New England Patriots a year ago.
Arizona is 2-4 on the season and looking to turn things around soon. Unfortunately for the Cardinals, they have a tough matchup against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, and being without their starting quarterback will only make things harder.
