Week 7 Waiver-Wire Pickups and Sleepers Available in Majority of Fantasy Leagues

Kristopher KnoxOct 16, 2025

Week 7 got underway with Thursday night's Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals clash. Another 14 games are left on this week's slate, including a Sunday morning London game and a Monday night doubleheader.

The Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills are on bye.

Fantasy managers seeking a bye-week fill-in or injury replacement will have options this week, though many of the top sleepers have already been claimed off the waiver wire.

There's a good chance, however, that these sleepers are still available in your league.

Bryce Young, QB, Carolina Panthers

Things are beginning to click for Bryce Young, Dave Canales and the Carolina Panthers offense. While Carolina has led with its running game in recent weeks, Young has made the occasional big play at quarterback. He threw for 199 yards, three touchdowns and an interception last week against the Dallas Cowboys.

Young also had a three-touchdown game back in Week 2.

While Young can't be considered a reliable weekly starter, he's worth considering for spot duty. He'll face the New York Jets this week—the Jets have surrendered an average of 18.9 fantasy points to opposing QBs—and he'll face the New York Jets in Week 10.

The Jets have surrendered an average of 18.9 fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.

Young is still available in over 70 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.

Kendre Miller, RB, New Orleans Saints

At running back, it's worth checking to see if Kimani Vidal is available. He's rostered in over 60 percent of ESPN leagues and 70 percent of Yahoo leagues, but it looks as if he'll be the Los Angeles Chargers' starter for as long as Omarion Hampton is sidelined.

Kendre Miller is a backup for the New Orleans Saints, but he's cut into Alvin Kamara's workload fairly considerably this season. He had just eight carries and one catch in Week 6, but he logged 21 receptions over the two previous contests.

Miller and Kamara should both see significant snaps this week against a Chicago Bears defense that is giving up 5.6 yards per carry. Chicago has surrendered an average of 24 fantasy points to opposing backfields in 2025, so Miller should be a reasonable streamer this week.

It's worth noting that Miller won't have another truly favorable matchup until the Saints visit the Miami Dolphins in Week 13. However, he's only rostered in 32 percent of Yahoo leagues and 23 percent of ESPN leagues.

Christian Kirk, WR, Houston Texans

Wide receiver Christian Kirk has only been active for the Houston Texans' last three games because of an early-season hamstring injury. However, he's seen a fairly significant role since entering the lineup.

Kirk has played 58 percent of the offensive snaps in his two appearances and has logged 16 targets. In Week 5—the Texans were on bye last week—Kirk caught four passes for 64 yards.

This week, the Texans will visit the Seattle Seahawks, who have been good, not great against opposing receivers. Seattle has surrendered 10 passing touchdowns and an average of 21.7 fantasy points to opposing receiver groups. Houston will have another middling receiver matchup against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8 before facing a good Denver Broncos defense in Week 9.

Kirk is still available in over 70 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.

Mason Taylor, TE, New York Jets

Jets Dolphins Football

There is some risk associated with Jets tight end Mason Taylor, who had just one two-yard reception in Week 6. The Jets' offense isn't good, and if quarterback Justin Fields struggles, Taylor is likely to disappoint managers.

However, Taylor can be a decent streamer in the right matchups. In Weeks 4 and 5 he had games of five and nine receptions.

This may be another "on" week for Taylor, as the visiting Panthers have been vulnerable to opposing tight ends. Heading into Thursday night, only the Cincinnati Bengals had surrendered more fantasy points to the position. Carolina's improving offense, meanwhile, may prevent New York from going too run-heavy.

Taylor is still available in over 60 percent of Yahoo leagues and 70 percent of ESPN leagues.
