Saquon Barkley Loved Meeting Eagles Offense Had After Loss to Jaxson Dart, Giants
The Philadelphia Eagles have sputtered in the past two weeks, both losses, with mounting concern that the offense has yet to find any sort of consistent rhythm under first-time offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.
On Wednesday, running back Saquon Barkley said the offense had a great meeting after Thursday's shocking 34-17 loss against the New York Giants:

There have been warning signs that the Eagles were discombobulated on offense, from A.J. Brown's frustrations for most of the season and the inability to get Barkley going in the run game (Philly ranks 25th in rushing at 95.3 YPG), to Lane Johnson telling reporters after the Giants' loss that the offense felt predictable and moving the ball "seems a lot harder than what it needs to be."
Patullo addressed those latter comments while echoing Barkley's sentiments about having a good meeting this week with the offense.
"I think the comment Lane had, and what's great about the players is the communication with all of us is constant, whether it's during game, whether it's during the week, even on days off, things like that," he told reporters Tuesday. "That's been really, really good and productive for us. ... I think when you talk about the situational stuff and/or the predictability, you've just got to look at where the whole context is, and I think that's what kind of the last day or so, over the weekend, things we were able to look at where we were, where we are, where we want to go, and what we know we need to do to go forward. I think it was very productive. We had a good meeting yesterday as an offensive unit, and so I think we're in a good spot working forward."
The Minnesota Vikings will obviously test that on Sunday, before another meeting with the Giants and then a Week 9 bye. The Eagles are the defending champions, and last season's offense didn't truly start humming until the second half of the season, but many fans still acutely remember the team completely deconstructing late in the 2023 campaign (which came under the watch of a different first-time offensive coordinator, Brian Johnson).
Time will tell which version the 2025 Eagles are.
