Chiefs, Patriots, Chargers, Texans Linked to RB Trade Before Deadline by NFL Insiders

The NFL trade deadline is less than a month away on Nov. 4, and the running back market is reportedly set to heat up.

ESPN's Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler revealed a quartet of teams that could explore the chance to bolster their backfields through trades.

"Teams I expect to have interest in acquiring a running back ahead of the deadline include, but are not limited to, the [Kansas City] Chiefs, [Houston] Texans and [Los Angeles] Chargers," Graziano stated.

Fowler added that team executives "have also pegged the [New England] Patriots among teams that could look to add a back in the coming weeks."

The Chargers and Patriots are sitting in first place in the AFC West and AFC East, respectively, with 4-2 records. The Chiefs are 3-3 and the Texans are 2-3, but each team named has playoff aspirations this year.

Graziano and Fowler agreed that New York Jets running back Breece Hall is a name to watch as the deadline approaches. The 24-year-old is in the final year of his rookie contract and is playing for a winless team, so the Jets' could be convinced to let him go for the right price.

"He has said publicly he doesn't want to be traded, but he's also on an 0-6 team, so it feels as if all bets are off," Fowler said of Hall.

With so much parity in the NFL this year, the right moves at the trade deadline could be the deciding factor for which teams emerge as true title contenders.
