Week 7 Fantasy Football Rankings for Top Players and Matchups for All Positions

Kristopher KnoxOct 13, 2025

Week 6 brought another wild slate of NFL action. While things weren't quite as upset-heavy as they were in Week 5—until Monday night, anyway—fans still saw plenty of unexpected plays, surprising standouts and, unfortunately, injuries.

Fantasy stars Puka Nacua and Emeka Egbuka are among the latest additions to this year's injury report.

It's early in the week, and there's plenty to sort out before Week 7 actually kicks off on Thursday. Based on what we know and what we've seen through the first six weeks, let's run through some early point-per-reception and top matchups for point-per-reception (PPR) leagues.

Quarterback

1 of 5
Bears Raiders Football
Bears QB Caleb Williams
  1. Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders
  2. Drake Maye, New England Patriots
  3. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
  4. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
  5. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
  6. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
  7. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
  8. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  9. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
  10. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
  11. Justin Fields, New York Jets
  12. Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts

Matchup to Love: Caleb Williams vs. New Orleans Saints

Second-year quarterback Caleb Williams hasn't quite become what the Chicago Bears envisioned when they took him first overall in 2024. However, he's shown improvement under Ben Johnson and has had a couple of solid fantasy outings.

Against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3, for example, Williams threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns.

Chicago is coming off its bye and set to host a lackluster New Orleans Saints team. The Saints have surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks through Week 6.

While Williams might not replicate the numbers he had against Dallas, he's one of the stronger streaming options of Week 7.

Running Back

2 of 5
Bengals Vikings Football
Vikings RB Jordan Mason
  1. Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts
  2. Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions
  3. Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers
  4. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers
  5. Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons
  6. Rico Dowdle, Carolina Panthers
  7. Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles
  8. De'Von Achane, Miami Dolphins
  9. Quinshon Judkins, Cleveland Browns
  10. Javonte Williams, Dallas Cowboys
  11. Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raiders
  12. Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams
  13. Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Washington Commanders
  14. Rachaad White, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  15. Jordan Mason, Minnesota Vikings

Matchup to Love: Jordan Mason vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Like the Bears, the Minnesota Vikings are coming off their bye. They'll have had two weeks to prepare for a Philadelphia Eagles defense that has been surprisingly vulnerable to the run.

Philadelphia has surrendered the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season.

It is worth noting that the Eagles have played two games without star defensive tackle Jalen Carter, but there's no guarantee that Carter will return for Week 7. Vikings starting running back Aaron Jones definitely won't be back. He was placed on injured reserve after Week 2 and won't be eligible for activation until after Week 7.

This bodes well for Jordan Mason, who has averaged two catches, 81 scrimmage yards and a touchdown in three games as the starter.

Wide Receiver

3 of 5
Steelers Jets Football
Steelers WR DK Metcalf
  1. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions
  2. Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals
  3. Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings
  4. George Pickens, Dallas Cowboys
  5. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks
  6. Deebo Samuel, Washington Commanders
  7. Nico Collins, Houston Texans
  8. Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams
  9. Drake London, Atlanta Falcons
  10. Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears
  11. Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams
  12. Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos
  13. Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs
  14. Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers
  15. DK Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers
  16. Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers
  17. Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints
  18. Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers
  19. Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts
  20. Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins

Matchup to Love: DK Metcalf at Cincinnati Bengals

DK Metcalf is having an impressive first season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He's on pace for more than 1,200 receiving yards and has caught a touchdown pass in four straight games. He's clearly become Aaron Rodgers' favorite target and has fared well, even against good defense.

The Steelers will face a bad defense when they visit the rival Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night. The Bengals rank 31st in passing yards allowed and 30th in net yards per passing attempt allowed.

With Joe Flacco now behind center for Cincinnati, the Bengals may also muster enough offense to keep Pittsburgh passing in Week 7. Flacco threw two touchdown passes with no turnovers in Week 6, despite only practicing with the Bengals for a couple of days.

Expect Metcalf to see plenty of targets this week.

Tight End

4 of 5
Titans Cardinals Football
Cardinals TE Trey McBride
  1. Tyler Warren, Indianapolis Colts
  2. Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals
  3. Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys
  4. Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers
  5. Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles
  6. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions
  7. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs
  8. Hunter Henry, New England Patriots
  9. Darren Waller, Miami Dolphins
  10. T.J. Hockenson, Minnesota Vikings
  11. Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons
  12. Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns
  13. Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints
  14. Michael Mayer, Las Vegas Raiders
  15. Mason Taylor, New York Jets

Matchup to Love: Trey McBride vs. Green Bay Packers

The Arizona Cardinals were without starting quarterback Kyler Murray in Week 6, yet still got an impressive offensive performance. Jacoby Brissett led the Cardinals to 27 points against a good Indianapolis Colts team and did a great job of funneling the ball to star tight end Trey McBride.

McBride caught eight passes for 72 yards and only his second touchdown of 2025.

While it remains unclear who will start at quarterback for Arizona in Week 7, managers should feel great about keeping McBride in their starting lineups. He clearly isn't going to dip with a backup QB, and he has a favorable matchup coming to town.

The Green Bay Packers have surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends.
