She also won a silver medal at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece, to add to her trophy case. But the 36-year-old was unable to make the ceremony because she is expecting her first child.
Joining her in the Hall of Fame is David Hall, a star on the Wheelchair Tennis Tour. He was a regular at the top-spot of the International Tennis Federation's year-end rankings and was a world champion six-times between 1995-2004, according to the International Tennis Federation website.
The third and final member of the 2015 induction class is Nancy Jeffett, the co-founder of the Maureen Connolly Brinker Tennis Foundation. The organization helps the development of young tennis players around the world as it has sponsored a number of competitions over the years.
Jeffett was also a successful junior player, ranked 10th in 1946, according to ITA Hall of Fame website.
The ceremony was followed by the first men's singles semifinal of the day with Rajeev Ram defeating John-Patrick Smith.
