Travis Kelce Tells The Rock He's 'Dreaming' About WWE Match in 'New Heights' Video

Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce is in the twilight of his legendary career, but he could be setting himself up for a future in the wrestling ring.

During this week's episode of the New Heights podcast, WWE legend Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson asked Kelce if he'd be interested in trying his hand at pro wrestling, and the 36-year-old excitedly answered affirmatively.

"When the opportunity presents itself, you know I'll dive in there! I've been dreaming about this, been working on my moves in the living room for years trying to get my chance," Kelce said.

Kelce wouldn't be the first member of his family to take his talents to the squared circle, as his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, made a surprise appearance at WrestleMania 40 last year to assist Rey Mysterio and Andrade in their win over Dominik Mysterio and Santos Escobar. The Rock was asked to assess Jason's performance, and he had nothing but good things to say.

"The idea that a celebrity and someone who is at the top of their game, who's made it, who's just the greatest like you, anytime anyone comes into the world of pro wrestling, it's the greatest thing to us," The Rock said.

While Jason and Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson got physical in their WrestleMania appearance, Travis has some ambitious ideas for his potential in-ring debut.

"I feel like I'm more of an aerial act, though," Kelce said. "I'm off the ropes, the top rope, baby!"

For now, Kelce will try to help the Chiefs build on the momentum of Sunday night's 30-17 win over the Detroit Lions. Despite his age, he leads Kansas City with 321 receiving yards this season. The team will be facing the Las Vegas Raiders in an AFC West matchup in Week 7.
