What WWE Fans Can Expect Next After Crown Jewel Results

Erik BeastonOct 13, 2025

On the heels of WWE Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia, fans of the product will naturally look to the future and ask, "What's next?"

From family drama to one of the most barbaric specialty matches in the company, there are plenty of options to keep fans invested and engaged as the company embarks on the road to its most important time of the year.

War Games

This much is a slam dunk, thanks to WWE's stubbornness in presenting gimmick matches, even when a particular feud doesn't necessarily call for them.

This year's Men's War Games at Survivor Series will likely feature Seth Rollins leading The Vision into battle against some combination of CM Punk, LA Knight, The Usos, and perhaps, Roman Reigns, who is front and center on promotional materials.

The company would have to introduce two other Superstars to the fray to join Rollins, Bronson Reed, and Bron Breakker. Regardless, the lengthy creative post-WrestleMania and the many intertwining stories suggest that is the direction the world heavyweight champion, Rollins, and his adversaries are heading for the falltime classic.

Bloodline Drama

A disgusted and frustrated Roman Reigns walked out on The Usos Saturday in Perth, moments after suffering just his second pinfall loss in singles competition in the last five years.

Jimmy and Jey's inability to listen to him and to "run the play" as he dictated by staying out of his match with Bronson Reed cost The Tribal Chief a victory and reminded fans that he has not had a rich history of winning on his own in recent years.

After telling his cousins he did not want to see them until Christmas, Jey's reaction was as angry as it was, except for the escalation of the story and, potentially, the former world champion's continued growth into more of a tweener persona as he takes on the characteristics of The OTC.

The Gradual Build to Rhea Ripley vs. Stephanie Vaquer

Mami went down under to her home country of Australia, teamed with Iyo Sky, and defeated Asuka and Iyo Sky in a blockbuster tag team match Saturday morning and while her war with The Kabuki Warriors is unlikely finished, Rhea Ripley will begin the gradual build to an inevitable showdown with Stephanie Vaquer for the Women's World Championship.

Not only is it a dream match for many, including Vaquer, but it is a main event-level contest between two elite in-ring performers whose popularity is next level.

Vaquer earned the Crown Jewel Championship with a decisive victory over WWE women's champion Tiffany Stratton in Perth and now looks forward to the chance to defeat The Eradicator.

A WrestleMania-level match, it is still off in the distance by a bit, but do not be surprised to see WWE inserting backstage confrontations between the two more frequently to keep them on the screen together and in the minds of the fans.

The Countdown to the End

WWE Crown Jewel

Four more dates.

That is all John Cena has left in his legendary WWE career, with Survivor Series being one of them.

A recent report confirmed that his final opponent will be former world champion Gunther.

If so, that means The Ring General is nearing his return to the squared circle. Any match with Cena would wait until December's Saturday Night's Main Event, but the report suggests a tournament will be conducted to determine, from a storyline perspective, who the Unseen 17 will face.

If that is the case, Gunther's impending return and a potential tournament finale at Survivor Series would set the ball rolling for the monumental showdown. Whether The Ring General interacts with Cena in one of the two Raw appearances that Cena has left before the upcoming November tradition remains to be seen, but the coming weeks should see the pieces of the puzzle begin to form an overarching picture of what the future Hall of Famer's last two months in the company will look like.
