Puka Nacua Reportedly 'Likely' to Miss Time After Ankle Injury in Rams Win over Ravens
Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay told reporters that Puka Nacua's status is up in the air for next week's matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafalo reported Monday morning that Nacua is expected to miss time.
The superstar wide receiver suffered an ankle injury in the first half of Sunday's 17-3 win over the Baltimore Ravens though he did return to the contest, finishing with just two catches for 28 yards on three targets. He didn't register a catch after reentering the game.

McVay noted while speaking on Nacua's limited participation after returning to the game that the wideout "tried to be able to give it a go. Just didn't feel good enough... He maybe could have really pressed through. But we were kind of more being smart than anything."
There wasn't a better offensive player in the NFL through the first five weeks of the season than the 24-year-old Nacua, who posted 52 catches for 588 yards and two touchdowns while adding three runs for 52 yards and a score.
Nacua played all 17 games of his rookie campaign in 2023, catching 105 passes for 1,486 yards and six scores. It was an epic debut, though he missed six games last season with a sprained PCL and finished with 79 catches for 990 yards and three scores.
The Rams added Davante Adams to pair with him this offseason and the early returns for both players were more than promising, though if Nacua is indeed forced to miss time, Adams would need to shoulder a much larger load in the passing game. The team could also rely more heavily on Kyren Williams and Blake Corum (depending on the severity of Corum's ankle injury, also suffered on Sunday) in the rushing attack.
Given that Nacua was able to return on Sunday, however briefly, it doesn't seem as though his ankle injury will be a long-term concern. His availability in Week 6 remains very much in question, however.
