Rico Dowdle Fantasy Advice, Trade Value After 2nd Straight 200-Yard Game for Panthers
Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dowdle surpassed 200 yards from scrimmage in Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys for his second straight monster performance.
Dowdle's continued success is music to the ears of fantasy football managers who rostered him, and ESPN's Mike Clay predicted that he will maintain a high workload even after Panthers starting running back Chuba Hubbard returns from his calf injury.

Dowdle, who was starting in place of Hubbard for the second straight week, finished with 30 carries for 183 yards and four catches for 56 yards and a touchdown as the Panthers defeated the Cowboys 30-27. It was a strong follow-up to his impressive outing in last week's win over the Miami Dolphins in which he notched 23 carries for 206 yards and a touchdown while adding three catches for 28 yards.
Per FantasyPros, Dowdle was owned in 80 percent of Yahoo fantasy football leagues and 78 percent of ESPN leagues entering Week 6. He has proven that he is a must-roster player at this stage of the season, especially amid the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Hubbard's status.
Still, the Panthers won't be concerned with fantasy stats once Hubbard is back in the lineup, so Dowdle's touches will undoubtedly decrease when he's back. His recent hot streak could make him a sell-high candidate in a trade that would land a top fantasy player in return.
With a matchup against the 0-6 New York Jets set for Week 7, Dowdle and the Panthers could be in for another strong offensive performance. Holding onto Dowdle could be the best course for fantasy football managers, but it would be understandable to trade him if there's a trade offer too good to refuse.
