Marvin Harrison Jr. Out for Cardinals vs. Colts with Concussion

The Arizona Cardinals offense took a major hit in Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Cardinals announced that second-year wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is out for the remainder of Sunday's game after suffering a concussion.

Harrison appeared to hit the back of his head on the ground after making a 21-yard catch in the second quarter. At the time of his exit, he recorded two receptions for 32 yards.

The injury ruined what was supposed to be an important game for Harrison, as his dad, NFL legend Marvin Harrison, spent his entire playing career with the Colts. Earlier this week, the 23-year-old called the matchup against Indianapolis "a special game for me, for sure."

After a shaky start to the season, Harrison appeared to be rounding into form over the past few weeks. He had six catches for 66 yards and a touchdown in a Week 4 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, and he had four catches for 98 yards in last week's loss to the Tennessee Titans. He entered Sunday's game against the Colts leading the Cardinals with 306 receiving yards.

Losing Harrison is another blow to an Arizona offense that is already missing starting quarterback Kyler Murray, who is dealing with a foot injury. Veteran backup Jacoby Brissett started Sunday's game against Indianapolis in his place.

Harrison had also suffered a concussion in Week 6 of his rookie season, but he was active the following week. The Cardinals are certainly hoping that he won't be sidelined for too long as they try to return to playoff contention this season.
