Caitlin Clark Supports Cubs on Social Media amid NLDS Game 5, 'Come on Cubbies!'
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is hoping to see the Chicago Cubs make it to the NL Championship Series.
Clark posted in support of the Cubs during Saturday night's series-deciding NLDS Game 5 against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Clark, a lifelong Cubs fan, has thrown out first pitches both for the MLB club and the Triple-A Iowa Cubs.
The former Iowa star was even honored by the Triple-A Cubs with her own bobblehead in March 2023.
Clark has remained a baseball fan since becoming the NCAA's all-time leading scorer and entering the WNBA as the top pick of the 2024 draft. Fever guard Lexie Hull posted a video last year of Clark doing play-by-play commentary of a September 2024 game between the Brewers and Philadelphia Phillies.
The Brewers put the Cubs on the brink of elimination by outscoring them by a 16-6 margin in two straight series-opening wins. The Cubs stayed alive with a 4-3 victory in Game 3, then tied the series with a 6-0 Game 4 shutout.
Clark will now hope to see her team make it to the NLCS for the first time since 2017 with a Game 5 win Saturday night.
