It was fitting that The Undertaker chimed in given that one of his signature moves played a pivotal role in the finish of the match.
Cena foiled Styles' attempt at a Phenomenal Forearm before hitting him with Taker's Tombstone Piledriver, and then putting the match away with an Attitude Adjustment.
Saturday's match was among the last of Cena's career, as he has only four scheduled appearances remaining before he retires from in-ring competition.
Styles is nearing the end of his career as well, and he confirmed as much Friday when he said he is planning to retire in 2026.
Cena vs. Styles was a love letter to both WWE and TNA, and some of the greatest opponents both Cena and Styles faced over the years.
During the match, Cena performed the finishing moves of Randy Orton, The Miz, Rusev, Chris Jericho and Bray Wyatt among others, while Styles did the finishers of TNA legends such as Sting, Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels.
The fans ate up every second of their classic encounter, and much like The Undertaker, WWE Hall of Famer and Chief Content Officer Triple H loved it as well:
Many fans have been critical of Cena's retirement tour, due to an ill-fated heel turn and a one-sided loss to Brock Lesnar last month at Wrestlepalooza, but WWE gave them what they wanted in the form of Cena vs. Styles one final time.
An argument can be made for Styles being the greatest in-ring rival of Cena's career, and AJ made another strong case at Crown Jewel.
Cena has at least a couple of matches remaining in his legendary career, but they will be hard pressed to top what he did with Styles on Saturday.
