Joe Flacco Will Start for Bengals vs. Packers in NFL Week 6 After Trade From Browns
After being traded from the Cleveland Browns to the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday, veteran quarterback Joe Flacco wasted no time acclimating himself to his new team.
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor announced on Wednesday that Flacco will be the starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Flacco started the first four games of the season for the Browns before being benched in favor of rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel. That included Week 1 against the Bengals, a game that Cincinnati won. After the trade, video of the postgame exchange between Flacco and Joe Burrow resurfaced:
The 40-year-old looked well past his prime, throwing for 815 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions while sustaining nine sacks.
Still, the Bengals sent a fifth-round draft pick to the Browns to acquire Flacco and a sixth-round pick. Cincinnati has lost each of its last three games since backup quarterback Jake Browning took over for the injured Burrow, who is expected to miss the majority of this season after undergoing toe surgery. Browning has thrown for 757 yards, six touchdowns and eight interceptions after being thrust into action.
While Flacco may be a slight upgrade over Browning thanks to his veteran experience, he's facing a tough test right out of the gates with the Bengals. The Packers rank fourth in the NFL with 283.3 yards allowed per game and are well-rested after coming off their bye week. Star edge rusher Micah Parsons has totaled 2.5 sacks in four games, so it can be expected that he will be hunting for more.
Cincinnati is hoping to avoid another lost season after falling short of the playoffs last year, so Flacco will have to be at his best if the team hopes to stay alive in the postseason race.
