Top Crown Jewel Matches to Watch

John Cena vs. AJ Styles

Crown Jewel is scheduled to be the penultimate premium live event appearance of Cena's in-ring career, so it is only fitting that he will do battle with arguably his greatest opponent.

On the heels of a one-sided loss to Brock Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza, Cena will look to bounce back with a win over Styles at Crown Jewel in what figures to be among the final five matches of his illustrious career.

After Crown Jewel, Cena's only scheduled appearances are two episodes of Raw, Survivor Series and the Dec. 13 episode of Saturday Night's Main Event, which will play host to his retirement match.

In 2016 and 2017, Cena had several memorable matches against Styles, and it can be argued that nobody has gotten more out of Cena from an in-ring perspective than The Phenomenal One.

Although there are no personal issues between Cena and Styles right now from a storyline perspective, it is simply a match the fans wanted to see one last time, which suggests both Superstars will be highly motivated to put on a classic.

Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins

In perhaps the highest-stakes match on the entire card, WWE champion Cody Rhodes and world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins will clash with the Men's Crown Jewel Championship hanging in the balance.

While the Crown Jewel Championship is more about bragging rights than anything, there is a deeper meaning behind the latest chapter that will be written in the Rhodes vs. Rollins rivalry.

When Rhodes returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38, he was the mystery opponent of Rollins, and he defeated The Visionary in impressive fashion.

Cody went on to beat Seth two more times that year, leaving fans to wonder if Rollins would ever be able to reach and surpass his rival.

Leading up to Crown Jewel, Rollins has stressed the importance of beating Rhodes, and the ante was upped on Raw when Paul Heyman said he would question why he chose Rollins over Roman Reigns if he fails to beat Rhodes once again.

On top of that, the match promises to be an excellent one, and there is a looming threat of interference—perhaps even from Brock Lesnar—who has been cozying up to Heyman since his return.

Stephanie Vaquer vs. Tiffany Stratton

In the other Crown Jewel Championship match, women's world champion Stephanie Vaquer and WWE women's champion Tiffany Stratton are set to clash for the first time ever in a singles bout.

Since becoming WWE women's champion back in January, Stratton has essentially been a dominant force, as she hasn't lost any matches during that time.

However, Vaquer has been a rising star in her own right, as she won the Women's North American Championship and NXT Women's Championship just months after her debut with the company.

Stephanie made her official main roster debut in April, and it was only five months before she became the women's world champion as well, beating Iyo Sky for the vacant title at Wrestlepalooza.

Both Vaquer and Stratton have all the momentum in the world on their side, but something has to give when they meet in Australia.
